The purpose of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) personality inventory is to make the theory of psychological types described by C. G. Jung understandable and useful in people’s lives. The essence of the theory is that much seemingly random variation in the behavior is actually quite orderly and consistent, being due to basic differences in the ways individuals prefer to use their perception and judgment.

This article only explores MBTI from a general perspective by answering common questions found on the internet associated with MBTI personalities. These answers are not be taken too seriously.

How accurate is MBTI?

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is one of the most popular personality tests in the world. The assessment has a 90% accuracy rating and a 90% average test-retest correlation, “making it one of the most reliable and accurate personality assessments available

All people are capable of lying, cheating, or being reliable and honest. No MBTI is exempt from a particular behavioral trait. The main difference is that some personalities are more or least likely to behave in certain ways based on studies done using the MBTI.

Can you be two MBTI types?

Given the MBTI, yes, you can be more than one type. This is why: The MBTI is a quiz based on the work of Kathryn Briggs and modified to fit with the terminology and some concepts of Carl Jung. The test itself doesn’t assume any underlying model and does not need to translate to any “true” types.

I am an INFJ. It is one of sixteen personality types based on the Myers-Briggs personality type indicator. INFJ is short for (introverted, intuitive, feeling, and judging. INFJs may have introverted within their personalities type; however, people often mistake us for introverts. This is incorrect. We are introverted intuitive, both introverted and extroverted. However, our personalities are driven by our most dominant trait, something known as Ni. Introverted intuition.

INFJ’s function by keeping their private lives separate from the rest of the world. They are excellent at compartmentalization. It’s a form of mental organization. It allows us to function. When this system falls apart, so do we. It’s like a form of mental architecture. I will be writing a more in-depth article about what it actually means to be an INFJ since it can be a challenging MBTI for many people to understand.

Although I’ve done many tests that concluded that I am an INFJ, I would like to redo it since I sometimes feel I have INFP traits. However, My results are that of the INFJ considered The rarest personality based on multiple tests and evaluations done in the past since the age of 12. You may think this is a good thing, but it can actually be lonely since it’s hard to find people who understand us.

Do INFJs lie?

All people are capable of lying; no MBTI is exempt from a particular behavioral trait. The difference is that some personalities are more or least likely to behave in certain ways. In general, INFJs are least likely to lie, or at least not very often, because our true feelings often betray us. This is another reason INFJ’S is known for the “door slam,” which ill explain in another article. In general, we are not the best at concealing the truth. However, we are skilled at concealing private parts of our lives. INFJ’s are excellent at social compartmentalization.

  • ENFP: A passionate, growth-oriented relationship.
  • INFJ: A complex, intellectually challenging relationship.
  • INFP: A deeply romantic and intimate relationship.

Which MBTI type is most likely to be a psychopath?

The ESTP may be viewed as having behavior associated with psychopathy. However, there’s no real evidence to suggest ESTPs are all psychopaths. A psychopath is characterized as having disregard for other peoples feelings, and has little to no empathy for others. This type of MBTI is known as the thinker. The reason ESTP may be commonly associated with psychopathy could be due to their thinking and analytical nature. Thinkers tend to be logical and more calculating, which is why this personality type is likely to be associated with psychopath tendencies.

Is it rare for INTP to fall into psychopathy?

Once again, no personality is exempt from a particular behavioral trait. However, this question is frequently searched due to the general perceived nature of the INTPs. They can be calm and collected. However, if you have ever been in a relationship with one, you might have experienced the other side of their personality.

Although they can seem quiet, reserved, and chill most of the time, they can become unhinged, destructive, and possibly violent. However, this behavior isn’t exclusive to INTP. It’s just rare since INTPs are often viewed as calm and collected. (INTP, ESTP) aren’t psychopathic per se, as having subjective personality traits is required to fall into psychopathy.

Which MBTI type is the laziest?

INFP may be viewed as lazy. However, this is not true in the basic sense. Many are highly intelligent but require the right stimulation. It’s not that they can’t put a lot of energy and hard work into something. Some INFPs are amazingly talented, passionate people. They can put anything into their craft or their purpose. It’s just that INFPs are not motivated by money or success in the traditional sense. INFPs are flexible and free-spirited. They may be motivated by schedules that allow them plenty of room to change or pursue new opportunities. They thrive when they feel free enough to make their own choices, rather than feeling trapped in a restrictive schedule.

What is the happiest personality type?

People with an ESFJ-type personality â€” which stands for Extroverted, Sensing, Feeling, Judging — are the most satisfied. ESFP and ESFJ are the happiest characters who are the most satisfied with their lives. They also have relatively simple characters and do not overthink much. They are extroverted and social enough to get along with others well.

Which MBTI type is the most socially awkward?

INTJ and INTP may be viewed as the weirdest, most socially awkward type of all the 16 Myers-Briggs personalities since the way INTJs process the world may differ from the behavior of others. However, just because someone does things differently doesn’t make them weird. Perhaps INTJs and INTP find everyone else weird.

INTJs are often the least sociable, more so than INTPs. INTJs may come across as intimidating. INTJs are famous for their “death stares” and their if looks could kill stares.

Generally speaking, INTPs are also the least social but can have a laid-back personality which makes them approachable, however they may struggle to keep a conversation due to feeling anxious.

Which MBTI types procrastinate the most?

INTJs tend to procrastinate the most since they often have creative minds which don’t always know when to turn off. Since their minds are always thinking, it may hinder their ability to find time to put their ideas into motion. INFJs and INTJs are guilty of this since they get their biggest thrills from envisioning future possibilities and taking apart abstract concepts. However, INFJs are known to put their desires and thoughts into action since they love to see their ideas in abstract form. There’s just one problem; the INFJ often hates their own work since it never measures up to their insanely unrealistic expectations. We are often perfectionists to our own detriment

Dreamers are identified by the NF in the middle of their four-letter personality title. They include INFJs, INFPs, ENFJs, and ENFPs. They absorb information through intuition; looking beyond sensory details to find meanings, patterns, and concepts.
